A waffle-weave throw in GOTS® certified 100% organic cotton, woven in Portugal.

Structured enough to hold its shape when folded, open enough to breathe when it drapes. Made to layer, not to weigh. Folded at the base of the bed, draped on the arm of the couch, layered across a cooling sheet for nightly temperature shifts.

The Provenance

Woven by a fourth-generation family mill in northern Portugal, in production for 75 years.

Made from GOTS® certified organic cotton, grown without synthetic pesticide or fertilizer, processed without the chemical finishing.

The result is a fabric that is softer at first touch than most cotton throws, and softens further with each wash.

The Construction

The waffle throw is made to outlast the bed (or couch) it sits on. The raised and recessed waffle structure creates a more stable, textured surface than a loose plain weave, so individual yarns are less likely to slide or snag. 

The Detail

Each colourway in the collection shares an identical warp thread, a small production decision that reduces material waste across the line. The mill recovers and reuses approximately 70.5% of its process water annually.
